After many years on the forbidden fruit list, the Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R is fair game in America. This generation of the GT-R has many accolades, winning 29 races from 29 starts at the Japanese Touring Car Championship, taking the series title from 1989 to 1993. Outside, there are a few subtle clues that this was an extremely rare version of a classic sports car: red 432” badging on the flanks and hatch, unique mag-style wheels, and the signature vertically-stacked dual exhaust tips. GT-R's Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) monitors weight distribution and adjusts rear brake force to compensate for added weight from passengers or cargo.

They had been fans since the R32 and were friends with the owner of Rare Imports, who was able to source cars for them. But the entire last generation - with its Skyline DNA and singularly devoted and potent combination of twin-turbocharged straight-six power and bleeding-edge all-wheel-drive technology - propelled the GT-R enigma into the stratosphere.

The R32, R33 and R34 are all very Japanese; the R35 even more so. All deserve to be celebrated for their overt technology and imposing lines. Nissan Urvan is powered by a four cylindered DOHC water-cooled diesel engine that is capable of displacing 105 BHP along with 154 ft lb of torque.

The R34 GT-R Z-Tune features extensive aero modifications including larger openings on the bumper, as well as a striking vented hood and vented front fenders. The Skyline series was replaced by the Nissan GT-R in 2002.
